Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support rehabilitation professionals in delivering high-quality patient care within a hospital or acute care setting. This role is essential in assisting patients with their recovery processes, ensuring they receive the necessary support and encouragement throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Responsibilities

Assist rehabilitation therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients. Help patients with exercises and activities designed to improve mobility and strength. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the rehabilitation team. Maintain accurate records of patient care activities and progress notes. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions. Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes and home care strategies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Skills

Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to rehabilitation practices. Experience or knowledge in an acute care environment is preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience while working with patients undergoing rehabilitation. Proficient in providing direct patient care, ensuring comfort and safety during therapy sessions. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $22.37-$24.61 per hour
