General Motors is growing its Canadian legal team and seeking a lawyer with strong regulatory experience to join their team as Counsel. The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters and have demonstrated the ability to build relationships and gain the trust of business stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad in-house experience and work closely with a number of business teams at a global company that is at the forefront of a rapidly transforming industry, including with respect to electric and connected vehicles as well as new digital and software-based products and services.

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of regulatory and commercial experience gained from a leading firm or in-house environment, including strong experience advising on regulatory issues such as environmental and consumer products matters. Prior exposure to dispute resolution, litigation management and real estate matters, and experience advising clients in the technology or manufacturing sectors, would be considered an asset. This is an exciting and varied role that will include significant involvement in projects across a number of business teams.
