Position Overview
You have an incredible skill for analyzing financial data, which is complemented by your ability to understand and work with financial and accounting models. Taking complex analysis and simplifying the information into both written and oral formats allows you to help all audiences understand our objectives and results. You\xe2\x80\x99re confident in your problem-solving skills and take a proactive approach in all you do.

Your financial skillset and strong analytical skills make you the perfect candidate for our Regulatory Financial Manager position. In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for creating financial models for analyzing large amounts of financial data and converting the financial analysis into quantitative and qualitative information to aid the business decision-making process. In year 1, you will:
Gain a comprehensive understanding of our utility financial modelling to create and evaluate projects.
Learn and understand the intricacies of financial schedules for our revenue requirements.
Respond to information requests from the British Columbia Utilities Commission and other interveners in a timely manner. In year 2, you will:
Independently manage projects and portfolios supporting financial analysis and communication to applicable stakeholders in written and oral form.
Manage various groups by supporting the development of our annual revenue requirements, including but not limited to our Finance and Energy Supply departments and Forecasting and Operations teams.
Work with and provide financial evaluations with the Business Development team specifically focused on our Clean Growth offerings in Renewable and Liquified Natural Gas. What it takes:
A bachelor\'s degree in engineering, finance, accounting or business administration from an accredited post-secondary institution.
A minimum four years of recent and relevant experience in business, regulatory, or the energy industry.
A Professional Accounting designation or Professional Engineering designation.
Strong analytical skills and financial and accounting modelling skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
Extremely detail-oriented with an ability to multi-task and complete projects promptly.
In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
