The Nickel District Conservation Authority (o/a Conservation Sudbury) is one of Ontario's 36 watershed-based local government agencies. Our area of jurisdiction includes the watersheds of the Wanapitei, Vermilion, and Whitefish Rivers. Our Regulations and Planning department provides important review services for planning and development applications, primarily within Greater Sudbury, to ensure development is safe from natural hazards.
The Regulations and Planning Program Assistant will work within a team to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the regulatory and planning program in accordance with the Conservation Authorities Act and its regulations. The role focuses on triaging, responding to, or coordinating responses to requests for information and requests for comment from outside agencies. Records management, data entry, processing payments and general administrative support are also key functions.
