Our clinic is a state-of-the-art facility, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of macular disease, located in Orangeville, Ontario. We are presently seeking energetic, highly motivated individuals to fill our Registration Clerk position.

JOB SUMMARY



Reporting to the clinic manager and clinic tech lead the incumbent is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support. The position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to work well under pressure in a high volume clinical practice. The incumbent will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including but not limited to; physicians, nurses and ophthalmic technicians to provide high quality care to all patients.

??KEY RESPONSBILITIES



Providing secretarial support relating to patient care. Duties include but are not limited to: telephone reception, booking appointments, responding/directing patient queries, and patient registration. Perform data entry into spreadsheets including but not limited to Excel and basic statistical analyses. Process and forward incoming and outgoing mail. Order office supplies and maintain inventory. Performs other duties as assigned to support the operational requirements.

Ability to work supportively and collaboratively in a team environment and take initiative as required. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines for patient information. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and accurately. Ability to deal effectively with conflicting demands and stressful situations while maintaining enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Excellent judgment and problem solving skills. Experience working with Patient Support Programs and bilingual (French) are considered assets.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS



A minimum of a two-year post-secondary program in office administration. Experience with EMR software an asset Advanced skills in office software applications including: word processing, databases, spreadsheets and basic statistical analyses. Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week
