Position Overview:
The Woodstock Minor Hockey Association (WMHA) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Registrar/Administrative Assistant
to support our operations. This is a
part-time, remote position
ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and a passion for youth sports.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete and manage all player registrations using the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR)
Organize and submit team rosters (including players and bench staff) for approval through Spordle/HCR
Ensure all required information and approvals are received in a timely manner
Adhere to all deadlines and policies set by Hockey Canada, Alliance Hockey, and WMHA
Attend 1-2 meetings per month (virtual and occasionally in-person at the Reeves Community Complex)
Communicate regularly with team managers, coaching staff, parents, and the WMHA General Manager
Collaborate with Alliance Hockey, the Ontario Hockey Federation, and Hockey Canada during training and information sessions
Other administrative tasks, as assigned
Qualifications:
Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential
Previous administrative experience or background in Sports Management is preferred
Experience with Spordle or similar sports registration systems is a strong asset
Ability to work independently, manage varying workloads, and meet deadlines
Comfortable with remote work, Outlook and Microsoft Office
Additional Information:
This role averages
30 hours per month
, with the busiest periods typically being September/October and April/May.
Flexibility is key, as weekly hours may fluctuate throughout the month
Anticipated start date is August 25, 2025
Full training will be provided and will be a mixture of in-person at the Minor Hockey Office (Reeves Community Complex), and virtual meetings
Personal work laptop will be provided
