Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership, guidance, and day-to-day support to two Registrar Administrators with distinct regional mandates.
Develop, implement, and assess policies, procedures, and action plans related to eligibility and customary adoptions within the NEO.
Establish performance goals, track key metrics, and promote a culture of accountability and excellence.
Oversee operations to ensure records and processes meet confidentiality standards and comply with all applicable regimes.
Ensure the accurate, efficient, and confidential management of enrolment and customary adoption records.
Work collaboratively with senior leadership and community stakeholders to enhance enrolment services and initiatives.
Lead and oversee training initiatives to support team performance and consistency.
Represent the NEO at inter-regional and inter-governmental tables on both general and case-specific matters.
Support strategic modernization efforts that align with organizational goals and long-term vision.
Provide informed recommendations on operations and policies to guide strategic planning and action plans.
Be available to travel, as requested.
Perform other related duties within the scope of the position or as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Secondary school diploma (high school) or a combination of relevant education and experience.
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
Previous experience in management or project coordination.
Proven ability to lead teams and oversee operational activities.
Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, or action plans.
Knowledge of Inuit culture, history, and the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA).
Ability to speak Inuktitut required; writing in Inuktitut is considered an asset.
Demonstrated ability to provide vision, direction, and hands-on operational oversight.
Strong communication skills and organizational abilities.
Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with daily management responsibilities.
Motivated to improve systems, empower teams, and support long-term autonomist objectives.
Security clearance is required.
