About the Role



The successful candidate will:

Have a Veterinary Technician Diploma Be registered with the OAVT and licensed to work in Ontario 2-3 years' experience in a GP clinic with companion animals Experience with clinical procedures including but not limited to administering and performing diagnostic tests (diagnostic radiographs, blood collection, cytology, urinalysis etc.) using appropriate equipment and techniques, wound treatment and bandaging, blood pressure, catheter placement Experience with surgical preparation, assistance, anesthesia induction and monitoring, patient assessment and recovery Experience with dental procedures, including acquiring diagnostic dental radiographs, administering dental blocks, and all other aspects of a COHAT Willingness to continue enhancing technical skills Able to work in a steady and at times fast paced environment Strong interpersonal skills in working with colleagues and clients - able to communicate with compassion and professionalism Able to keep accurate patient records in cloud-based database
