Tilbury Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care to our patients and supporting our veterinarians.

Responsibilities:

Provide compassionate and hands on care Assist with examinations, surgical procedures, dentistry, and nursing Perform laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis Administer medications, vaccinations and treatments as prescribed Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any changes to the veterinarian Maintain accurate medical records for each patient Prepare animals for surgery and assist in post-operative care Educate pet owners on accurate animal care and health practices Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including equipment sterilization

We are seeking a candidate with:

Two or three-year Animal Health Technology/Veterinary Technology college program from a CVMA or OAVT-accredited institution Registration with provincial animal health technologists' or veterinary technicians' association Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing exceptional care

Experience:

Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician is required Laboratory experience, with skills in performing diagnostic tests
