Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) - Paquetville, NB

We are excited to be building a modern urgent care and general practice veterinary hospital in Paquetville, NB, and we're looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team. Your Role & Responsibilities:

As an RVT, you will be a cornerstone of our medical team, working closely with veterinarians and support staff to provide excellent patient care. Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

Patient Care & Nursing:

Assisting with patient intake and triage, especially in urgent care cases Administering medications (oral, injectable, topical) as directed Performing treatments, bandage changes, and wound care Monitoring patients under anesthesia and during recovery Providing compassionate nursing care to hospitalized patients

Technical & Clinical Skills:

Collecting and processing diagnostic samples (blood, urine, cytology, etc.) Operating in-house laboratory equipment and digital imaging Placing IV catheters, drawing blood, and monitoring fluid therapy Assisting in dentistry (cleanings, radiographs, charting) and surgery

Client Communication & Education:

Supporting clients with clear, empathetic communication Providing discharge instructions, home care guidance, and preventative care education Acting as an advocate for patient well-being and fear-free handling

Hospital Support:

Maintaining inventory, cleaning, and equipment care Helping to shape hospital protocols and workflows as we grow Supporting team culture by working collaboratively and respectfully

What We're Looking For:

A Registered Veterinary Technician in good standing (new grads welcome!) Strong technical and organizational skills Passion for patient care and client communication A positive, adaptable team player who thrives in a dynamic environment Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
