Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. As a Veterinary Technician, you will work alongside veterinarians to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions, ensuring the well-being of animals in our care.

Duties

Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, to aid in diagnosis. Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian. Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health during procedures and recovery. Maintain accurate medical records for each animal treated. Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including equipment sterilization. Provide compassionate care to animals and support to their owners throughout their visit.

Requirements

Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program is preferred. Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role is advantageous. Strong laboratory skills with the ability to perform diagnostic tests accurately. Excellent communication skills for interacting with both animals and their owners. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine love for animals and their welfare. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.
