Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with veterinarians to provide high-quality care for animals. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients while also supporting pet owners through their veterinary experience.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and recovery Maintain accurate medical records for each patient Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventative health measures Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments and equipment Handle animals safely and compassionately to minimize stress

Qualifications

Certification as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent experience preferred Laboratory experience is highly desirable Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and pet owners Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on veterinary practices Willing to do some reception and administrative work

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
