Specialized Role Supporting Injured Workers - Abbotsford, BC



We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Social Worker (RSW) for a unique and meaningful role supporting injured workers as they recover from complex physical and psychological injuries. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide short-term, goal-oriented social work services that promote recovery, reintegration, and wellbeing--within a well-established private practice model.

Based in Abbotsford, BC, this role includes in-person support as the primary modality, along with occasional virtual, phone, and on-site visits as needed to support clients in their environments. You will be part of a collaborative and professional clinical team while enjoying the flexibility and autonomy of independent practice.

What We Offer



A specialized caseload supporting injured workers through recovery and life transitions Independent contractor position with strong earning potential A clinical environment with in-person work supported by virtual and phone sessions Some outreach and in-home visits when appropriate All overhead covered:
- Office space and reception
- Booking, billing, and secure clinical software
- Bookkeeping, referrals, and admin support

Optional monthly group and peer consultation A warm and collegial clinical team who values shared learning and professional growth
In this role, you may support clients with crisis intervention, grief and adjustment, goal setting, and building connections with community supports. You'll also assist clients with navigating transitions and developing meaningful plans for re-engagement with work, family, and community life.

What We're Looking For



Registration in good standing with the

BCCSW (RSW)

Clinical competence in supporting individuals with mental health challenges, trauma, and psychosocial stressors Familiarity with community resources, systems navigation, and recovery planning Strong ethical practice, sound judgement, and commitment to client-centred care Strong intake and report writing skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team Commitment to ongoing learning and clinical development

Assets (Not Required but Strongly Considered)



Experience working with injured or marginalized populations Training in trauma-informed practice Comfort with online and telephone counselling Interest in community-based or in-home service delivery

Position Details



Start Date: Flexible Location: Abbotsford, BC Commitment: Minimum 15 clinical hours per week, can built up to 30+ hours Compensation: Percentage-based, with high earning potential
