Role Overview:



The

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

, will provide direct counselling support to clients, working collaboratively to address their emotional, mental, and social challenges. This role focuses on delivering trauma-informed care, facilitating growth, and fostering resilience in culturally diverse and vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities:



Counselling Services:



Provide individual, group, and family counselling sessions tailored to the unique needs of each client. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. Help clients develop coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, and a sense of self-empowerment.

Trauma-Informed Care:



Offer empathetic and culturally sensitive support to clients processing trauma, including survivors of domestic abuse and asylum seekers. Create a safe and non-judgmental environment that encourages healing and self-discovery.

Client-Centred Approach:



Collaborate with clients to establish therapy goals and track progress. Support clients in building self-awareness, improving relationships, and achieving personal growth.

Resource Connection:



Provide information and guidance to clients on accessing community resources, support groups, and relevant services. Help clients navigate cultural, legal, and social challenges related to migration and marginalization.

Culturally Sensitive Practice:



Build trusting relationships by respecting clients' cultural values, identities, and unique circumstances. Address the specific needs of immigrants, asylum seekers, and individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Professional Collaboration:



Work closely with social workers, counsellors, and other team members to ensure coordinated care. Refer clients to external mental health professionals or services when additional support is required.

Documentation:



Maintain accurate and confidential records of counselling sessions, client progress, and therapy outcomes.

Qualifications:



Master's degree in Clinical Counselling or a related field. One year of experience is required. Training and support will be provided for candidates passionate about counselling and eager to learn.

Skills:



Proficiency in evidence-based counselling techniques such as CBT or solution-focused therapy. Strong interpersonal and empathetic communication skills. Ability to work with diverse populations in a culturally sensitive manner.
