What We Offer

:

Hours of availability range, with approximately 15 hours weekly. Some evening/weekend availability is required: either two evenings a week or one evening and one weekend availability. This position is quite flexible and we can work with you to create a dream job!

About Us:



We are a growing team of helping professionals, including Social Workers and Psychotherapists. We value holistic care and understanding the complex needs of our clients. Our team is committed to providing the highest quality mental health services in a supportive and inclusive environment.

We help couples at any stage of their relationship by helping them to rekindle their friendship, rebuild trust, and effectively manage conflict. We use the tried and true Gottman Method, which is based on over 40 years of research. We also incorporate other approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy, Prep-Enrich, and SYMBIS (premarital program). We also offer workshops, retreats, and supervision services.

We are aiming to grow as a team in offering psychological assessments for individuals, and/or offer services for children (ideally using Theraplay).

We mainly offer virtual sessions, with some limited in-person availability at a church in Mississauga.

This means parents modelling positive relational skills at home, children learning these skills in school, premarital couples taking workshops, doing retreats, and/or doing premarital counselling, and couples reaching out proactively for sessions, workshops, and/or retreats. Preventative action forms a solid foundation for a lifetime of friendship and closeness in relationships.

What We Are Looking For:



We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated part-time Registered Psychololgist or Registered Social Worker or Registered Psychotherapist to join our team as an Independent Contractor. The ideal candidate will have an interest in the Gottman Method for couples, be able to complete Psychological Assessments with individuals, see children using Theraplay, and/or be able to see clients in Mississauga. Ideally the candidate will be trained in the Gottman Method or have an interest in completing Gottman training. Having a holistic approach is an asset, including an ability to integrate spirituality and physical well-being. This position mainly virtual with some availability in Mississauga.

What You Will Do:



Support Couples: Using the Gottman Connect Questionnaire, you will identify your couples' areas of strengths and growth, which will help to inform your clinical approach Assess Individuals: Conduct Psychological Assessments and provide supportive services Work with Children and Caregivers using Theraplay, or other modality for children Empower Clients: Provide exceptional psychotherapeutic services to couples, individuals, and/or children, helping them to navigate challenges and achieve their goals Grow and Thrive: Benefit from ongoing professional development opportunities, including specialized Gottman training and offering workshops and seminars

What We Are Looking For/Qualifications

:

Masters or Doctorate degree Qualifying or Fully Licensed Registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or the College of Psychologists of Ontario Experience and Expertise: Demonstrated experience in providing therapy services, with a strong understanding of evidence-based practices, including the Gottman Method and/or Theraplay Compassion and Empathy: A genuine desire to help others and a deep commitment to client-centered care Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a supportive and caring team environment Technology Knowledge: Has knowledge and ability to use Jane practice management software
