Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans. Administer medications and monitor patient responses with precision. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care. Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options. Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Support patients through therapeutic interventions and crisis management. Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently in all patient interactions.

Qualifications

Valid registered nurse license in Canada. Proven experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing. Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications and treatment plans. Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Compassionate approach to patient care and crisis intervention skills. Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Cerner is preferred. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
