Your Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Camrose Mental Health and Addictions Crisis Response Team (CRT). This is a casual position, providing CRT coverage to our local hospital ER on weekends and statutory holidays. The CRT team provides consultation and recommendations/resource management and connection for adults and youth presenting in emergency with mental health and/or addictions concerns. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Description:
As a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), you will provide leadership through a wide variety of nursing services to patients (clients, residents) for the purpose of promoting, maintaining or restoring health, mental health and preventing mental illness, injury and disability. You will teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and take necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. You will provide safe, quality, patient- and family-centered care, while reflecting shared vision and values. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 - $54.16 per hour. Upon obtaining a full licence, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Psychiatric Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited psychiatric nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of local resources.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in mental health addictions, preferably rural.
