Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team at Broadway Family Medicine. We are a team of 5 family physicians located in midtown Toronto. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and work closely with our physicians. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.

Duties

Deliver comprehensive patient care including triaging patient care, reporting results to patients, assisting with patient prescriptions and responding to patient requests within your scope of practice Take patient vital signs and document findings accurately using electronic health records Assist with procedures such as administering immunizations, ear syringing, suture removal and performing well baby measurements Educate patients and families on health conditions, medication regimens, and post-discharge care instructions Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards while ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients

Requirements

Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with relevant licensing authority Prior experience in primary care is highly desirable Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and electronic health record systems Experience with specialized areas including senior care, hospice care, pain management, laboratory procedures, or case management is an asset. Strong communication skills Compassionate approach to patient-centered care

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
