Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including hospitals, senior care facilities, and acute care environments. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to administer medications effectively while managing patient pain and overall well-being.

Duties

Deliver direct patient care, including medication administration and monitoring vital signs. Assist in pain management strategies for patients, ensuring comfort and support throughout their treatment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients. Conduct laboratory tests as required and interpret results to inform patient care decisions. Provide case management services, coordinating with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient support. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Educate patients and their families on health management, medication usage, and post-discharge care. Support the nursing team in providing exceptional care to children and seniors, adapting approaches based on individual needs.

Qualifications

Current registration as a Practical Nurse with relevant licensing authority. Experience in acute care settings preferred; experience with children is a plus. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures. Proven skills in medication administration and pain management techniques. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for all patients. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in high-pressure situations.

Pay: $35.00-$38.00 per hour
