QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse
Current BLS certification (Level C).
Current Operating Room Certificate preferred
Recent (within 2 years) surgical nursing experience required
Procedure Room / clinic setting experience preferred
Experience with Gynaecology, Urology, Plastics, E.N.T, General Surgery minor procedures preferred.
Experience with outpatient urologic procedures ( cystoscopy, urodynamic studies, BCG instillations) an asset
Demonstrated ability to function in a high pace and physically demanding setting is required.
Demonstrated skill and ability of Meditech information system
Demonstrated effective communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality and availability.
Demonstrated commitment to quality and patient safety, considers safety of self and co-workers
