Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality nursing services in various settings, including nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. The RPN will play a crucial role in supporting patients' health and well-being through effective nursing practices.

Duties

Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Conduct assessments to monitor patients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using electronic health record systems such as Oscar Pro. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Perform phlebotomy procedures and laboratory tests as required. Perform front desk activities including calling patients, booking appointments, and clearing inbox.

Requirements

Valid Registered Practical Nurse license in accordance with province regulations. Previous experience in nursing homes, hospitals, or acute care settings is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is essential. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining patient confidentiality. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous. Experience in performing laboratory procedures such as blood draw.
