Job Summary


OmaCare Nursing Services is a growing community healthcare provider dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to clients in their homes and communities. The ideal candidate will have experience in various settings, including home visiting, nursing homes, schools and hospitals. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, with a focus on providing high-quality nursing services to individuals across different age groups, including pediatrics and seniors. We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our expanding team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to clients in their homes and community settings

Possess strong nursing skills such as IV management, wound care, Tracheostomy care, G tube feeding, diabetic management and other medical complex care.

Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions in collaboration with clients and families

Administer medications and treatments in line with professional standards and organizational policies

Monitor and evaluate client progress, documenting accurately and promptly

Communicate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Support health teaching and promote client independence

Qualifications:

Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

Minimum 3 years of community nursing experience

Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage complex care needs

Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation an asset.

Qualifications



Valid Registered Practical Nurse license in good standing. Previous experience in nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in medication administration techniques. Experience working with children or providing senior care is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Compassionate approach to patient care with an emphasis on empathy and respect for individuals' needs.
