Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, and home care environments. The Registered Practical Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, administering medications, and ensuring the overall well-being of patients, particularly those with dementia or requiring pain management.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify health issues and develop individualized care plans. Screen incoming patients for the Diagnostic scans. Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments. Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established protocols and best practices. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and medication administration. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Cerner or other electronic health record systems. Assist in pain management strategies for patients experiencing discomfort. Deliver compassionate care to patients in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospice care, and home care environments. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.

Experience

Current Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) license in the state of practice. Previous experience in nursing home or assisted living settings is preferred. Familiarity with dementia care practices is a plus. Experience in hospital or laboratory environments is beneficial. Strong skills in medication administration and pain management techniques. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
