Become an integral part of something new and exciting from startup! Pioneer Park Urgent Care Clinic is a new physician owned walk-in clinic that is slated to open in mid-November 2025. We are seeking a motivated and friendly part-time/casual RPN (registered practical nurse) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and be proficient in the use of computers and electronic medical records systems. This position will require leadership abilities and the ability to multitask. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, and possess a team oriented mindset. Your service focused contributions will ensure the smooth operation of our clinic and enhance the patient experience.

Responsibilities

1) Assessment of patients - Patient assessment and triage, history of presenting problem, taking vital signs

2) Treatment of patients - administer injections (Allergy injections, tb skin tests, IM & S/C injections, infant and child immunizations), wound management, apply dressings/splints/slings, administer oxygen treatment, suture/staple removal, ear syringing, urine sample processing

3) Precise and detailed medical documentation on the electronic medical record for each patient encounter

4) Preparation of sterilized equipment - operation/maintenance of autoclave

5) Prepping of exam rooms throughout the day, stocking of examination rooms

6) Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and best practices in nursing.

Qualifications

Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing Preference will be given to those who have clinic, family practice, or relevant hospital experience. Preference will be given to those who are able to work one weekday a week plus have weekend availability Yearly maintained BLS certification Professional Liability Protection insurance Strong understanding of medical terminology Proficiency in electronic health record systems Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Clinic hours are 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM weekdays and 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM on weekends. Starting wage is $35.00 per hour. Training will be provided.
