Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents. This role requires a strong commitment to patient well-being and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Duties

Assess and monitor patient health status, including vital signs and medical history. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, particularly those with dementia or requiring senior care. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options. Maintain accurate patient records. Assist in daily living activities for patients in assisted living or home care settings. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to infection control policies.

Job Requirements:

Current registration with College of Nurses

Ability to complete all RPN assigned duties

Ability to work without supervision

Courteous at all times and able to meet residents needs

Able to complete assigned duties and follow instructions

Able to read and write

Understanding of and ability to speak English

Able to monitor other staff on floor

All vaccinations must be up to date including Covid Booster.

Skills

Proficient in medication administration and understanding of pharmacology. Experience working with seniors, or individuals with dementia is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members. Knowledge of best practices in nursing care. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in patient documentation and care plans. A compassionate approach towards patient care that emphasizes empathy and respect for individual needs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $26.36-$27.87 per hour

Expected hours: 7.5 - 30 per week
