Summary

As a Registered Practical Nurse at Symphony Senior Living Kanata, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to our residents. Located in a welcoming environment, this position is crucial for maintaining the health and well-being of seniors, ensuring they receive the highest quality of service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Reports to the Wellness Coordinator A Registered Practical Nurse with a current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses or governing body for the region in which they practice. Proof of medication administration education/ competency Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Possess complete understanding and application of the Resident's Bill of Rights Clear understanding of resident centered care Leadership ability Excellent organizational skills Strong team orientation
Trained in C.P.R. and First Aid

Must be able to communicate in English (written, verbal, reading) - Fluent in English

Working Conditions:

Must be able to deal with exposure to dust during performance of duties and work safely with cleaning compounds Lifting alone, maximum 40 lbs. (5-25 lbs. usual) as a major job function. Lifting, with assistance, maximum 160 lbs. (100-120 lbs. usual) as a major job function Pushing/pulling using wheeled equipment such as carts, trolleys, maximum 100 lbs. (20-50 Lbs.
