Altitude Healthcare is a staffing agency that supports Long Term Care (LTC) homes and hospitals who are experiencing staffing shortages. Our staffing strategy is built for long-term growth and sustainability. We are currently looking for Registered Practical Nurse to join our dedicated, caring and energetic team of support staff. Long-term assignments and travel opportunities are available.

Responsibilities:

Assists with the provision of nursing care in accordance with established standards of nursing practice set by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Contributes to the assessment and documentation of each resident's health status on an ongoing basis. Assists in the development and implementation of the Plan of Care and evaluates its ongoing effectiveness. Communicates effectively with residents, staff, families, physicians and team members. Provides excellent patient care at all times along with individualized service. Observes reports and records symptoms and conditions of residents. Administers medication as necessary. Responsible for maintaining the security of drugs and narcotics according to applicable policies and legislation. Participates in Quality Improvement and Risk Management activities. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Valid CNO registration- entitled to practice with no restrictions A valid police check for the vulnerable sector- must be dated within six (6) months. TB test within the last 12 months Covid -19 Immunization Documentation Immunization Record (TdaP, MMR, Varicella/Zoster, TST/Mantoux, Hepatitis B) Excellent communication and organizational skills Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
