RPN
for our foot care clinic to join our team.
This position works closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure individualized care is provided in a safe, respectful, and person-centered manner. In addition, the RPN provides specialized foot care services, including assessment, treatment, and education, to support mobility, prevent complications, and promote overall client independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver professional, compassionate, and client-focused foot care in accordance with care plans and organizational policies.
Administer treatments, and therapies safely, accurately, and in compliance with regulatory standards for foot care.
Conduct client assessments, monitor health status, and promptly report changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Serve as a supportive, knowledgeable point of contact for clients and families, answering questions and providing education on health, wellness, and self-care.
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of all client interactions, interventions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety practices, infection control protocols, and organizational policies.
Provide mentorship and guidance to colleagues, students, or volunteers as needed.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in team meetings, professional development, and training.
Qualifications
Current registration as a
Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
with the
College of Nurses of Ontario
.
Minimum of
2-3 years
of clinical experience in a community, home care, or long-term care setting preferred.
Advanced Foot Care Certification
from a recognized program (e.g., basic and advanced foot care).
Experience providing
community-based nursing care
, preferably in a primary care or community health setting.
Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive
foot assessments
, develop care plans, and provide treatment for foot-related concerns.
Strong commitment to
compassionate, client-centered care
and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficient in electronic medical records and standard office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs, schedules, and priorities
Valid
driver's license
and access to a reliable vehicle, if home or community visits are required.
Up-to-date
CPR/First Aid
certification.
COMPENSATION:
The wage range for this exciting opportunity is
$26.12 - $28.65
Selected candidates will be appropriately placed on the organizations wage grid based on skill, knowledge and experience.*
