FlowState Therapy is at the forefront of a new era in mental health -- where medicine, psychology, and consciousness meet.
We're a multidisciplinary clinic in downtown Ottawa bringing together Psychotherapists, Nurses, and Medical Practitioners to deliver transformative, evidence-based care that helps clients move beyond traditional talk therapy. Our services include
psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy (KAP)
,
neurofeedback
, and
integrative therapy
, supporting both civilians and veterans -- including first responders and healthcare professionals.
At FlowState, we believe healing happens when science and compassion align. We're building something bold -- a place where
nursing, psychology, and human connection intersect
to redefine what mental-health care can look like.
If you're looking to be part of a clinic that values innovation, integrity, and impact -- welcome home.
About the Role
We're looking for a
Registered Practical Nurse
who brings both skill and soul to their practice -- someone who's confident in their clinical foundation, emotionally attuned to clients, and excited by new frontiers in mental health.
This is not a hospital or shift-style nursing role. You'll work directly with clients in a calm, intentional environment -- supporting therapy, facilitating safe administration of medically supported treatments, and collaborating closely with psychotherapists and our Nurse Practitioner.
You'll be part of a team that values grounded presence, precision, and compassion as equally important parts of healing.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare clients for therapeutic and medically supported sessions, ensuring comfort, safety, and emotional readiness.
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client vitals throughout sessions.
Maintain accurate and timely charting using
Jane App
and clinic protocols.
Collaborate with the
Nurse Practitioner
and clinical team on dosage, monitoring, and follow-up.
Maintain a clean, organized, and trauma-informed environment in every interaction.
Participate in team meetings, ongoing learning, and quality-improvement initiatives.
Support both the clinical and human aspects of care -- presence, empathy, and grounded professionalism.
What You Bring
Current registration and good standing with the
College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
.
Experience in
mental health, emergency, addictions, or community care
is an asset.
A calm, confident demeanor under pressure and an ability to hold space for clients in vulnerable states.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Genuine curiosity about
emerging models of care
-- including psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and neurobiologically informed approaches.
Flexibility to work daytime, evening, or occasional weekend shifts.
