Tavistock Community Health Inc. is currently looking for a Registered Practical Nurse to join our team.
What will your work day look like?
Complete brief history of patients, anticipate and ensure equipment for patient visit is set up in exam room
Assess, triage, and advise patients who present with varied and at time complex issues and/or problems
Using your professional assessment skills to perform a holistic assessment of each patient to identify needs
Perform top of scope nursing skills (Example, pap tests, dressings of wounds, ear flushes, injections, suture/slip removal, Driver's Physicials, and assisting with other procedures as requested)
Developing appropriate time-specific, measurable goals and outcomes in collaboration with the patient, caregiver(s), while keeping with TCHI goals for treatment
Ensure all exam rooms are clean and stocked sufficiently and consistently
What will you bring to the table?
Having a high level of commitment to quality, accurate and forward-thinking care
Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
Current and ongoing CPR certification
Computer knowledge. Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records. Experience with PS Suites is an asset
A minimum of 2 years of employment experience as a Registered Practical Nurse either in a primary care or community setting
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)
Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Professional and positive attitude
