GBGH is looking for experienced RPNs interested in working within our Float Department on a Part Time basis.
The purpose of the Float Department is to provide additional support to GBGHs three inpatient departments: 2 East - Acute Medicine, 2 North - Medical/Surgical and 1 North - CCC/Palliative/Rehab.Our leadership team understands that not everyone may bring 100% of the skills and experiences required for the role but they will be your advocate, helping to remove barriers you may face.

• Registered Practical Nurse in good standing
• Graduate of a recognized Registered Practical Nursing Program.
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all patients, physicians, staff, and visitors.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
• Willingness to participate in process improvement.
• Essential duties require ability to lift and move patients, pushing, pulling, bending & stooping.
• Demonstrated ability to function efficiently and effectively as a team member.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attendance record and a proven commitment to professional development, as well as to the Mission of the Hospital
• Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history

HOURS OF WORKPermanent Part Time. Shifts would include days, evenings, and weekends.
