Company Overview

The Registered Practical Nurse provides a leadership role within the client care team and provides care in situations in which the client\'s condition is stable and the client care outcomes are predictable. Within the scope of practice, the Registered Practical Nurse promotes health, assesses and provides care and treatment by supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative and rehabilitative means to attain or maintain optimal function for the client.

Job Requirements:

• Registered Practical Nurse with current registration with College of Nurses in good standing
• Current BCLS
• Competent with current basic RPN scope of practice (Medication Administration, I.V. infusion etc.)
• Excellent communication skills
• Current experience in assisting with endoscopy procedures
• Coronary Care course (college level) - or completion within six months of hire
• Patient Assessment course completion
• Recent experience in acute care hospital ambulatory care clinic setting
• Demonstrated commitment to professional and personal growth
• Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history

Asset:

• Bilingual - English and French
• Current ACLS

Hours of Work: Permanent Part Time, scheduled up to 24 hours a week. Must be available to work shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the SEIU collective agreement.

Salary: $35.27 - $35.97 an hour
