We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to diverse patient needs, including seniors, children, and individuals requiring hospice or dementia care. The RPN will play a vital role in delivering safe, effective, and personalized care to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Administer medications and treatments accurately following physician orders and established protocols
Monitor patient health status through assessments and vital signs, documenting findings meticulously
Assist with activities of daily living and provide compassionate support tailored to individual needs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams using electronic health records systems such as Epic and Cerner
Perform phlebotomy procedures and laboratory testing as required
Manage case coordination for patients with complex medical conditions including pain management and hospice care
Educate patients and families on health conditions, medication use, and care plans
Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control protocols, and privacy regulations
Assist in developing individualized care plans for residents with dementia, senior care needs, or pediatric patients
Requirements
Valid registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in the relevant jurisdiction
Prior experience in nursing home, hospital, acute care, or home care settings preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care procedures
Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner is highly desirable
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Experience with specialized care areas including dementia care, pediatrics, hospice, or senior care is advantageous
Ability to handle laboratory procedures such as phlebotomy and laboratory testing
Compassionate approach with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and work environments

Pay: $29.60-$31.30 per hour
