JOB DESCRIPTION:
We require RPNs to join our dynamic Long Term Care Team. Working within the scope of practice and in accordance with our Mission, Vision, and Values, Glebe Centre RNs, RPNs, and PSWs work in a team setting to provide quality of life to residents and families.
Working within the scope of practice, the Registered Practical Nurse reports to the Manager of Nursing Care Operations and is responsible to provide direct resident-centered care and medication administration to Residents. RPNs document care in compliance with all regulatory and Glebe Centre health and wellness standards, policies, and procedures.
The RPNs manage facility operations, address clinical issues by collaborating, directing, and evaluating processes, and provide supervision and direction to non-regulated care providers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma from a recognized School of Nursing
Current certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
Minimum 2-3 years experience in long-term care (asset)
Current Ontario Criminal Records Check for the vulnerable sectors.
Must possess strong leadership skills.
Well-developed English language skills, comprehension, oral and written.
Proficient in computer use for documentation
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of medications and the care planning process.
Leadership, coaching, and counseling skills.
Ability to meet standards of care set by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivation in an unstructured environment.
Commitment to therapeutic care over custodial care.

JOB TYPE:
Permanent Full-Time, Part-Time--Days, Evenings and Nights - 8-hour shifts;
MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK TWO WEEKENDS A MONTH.
SALARY LEVEL
: $31.09 TO $35.06 As Per CUPE Collective Agreement
