Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. This role requires excellent clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and monitoring vital signs. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for patients. Conduct assessments and document patient progress accurately in electronic health records, preferably using Cerner. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families about health management and treatment plans. Perform phlebotomy as needed for laboratory testing. Support case management activities by coordinating with other healthcare providers and resources. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols. Provide compassionate support to patients and their families during challenging times.

Requirements

Valid Registered Practical Nurse license in the relevant jurisdiction. Experience in acute care, assisted living, home care, or hospice care is preferred. Proficiency in medication administration and patient assessment skills. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Cerner, is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment. Experience working with children is an asset but not required. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to nursing best practices.

Pay: $31.00-$33.00 per hour
