The RPN role on 16CCN provides direct nursing care to a diverse patient population, including Acute Care Surgery, General Surgery, GI and Plastics. This includes patients with multiple surgical and medical co-morbidities.
The RPN works within a changing environment and as part of the inter-professional team to advocate for and promote wellness while ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and ethical nursing care. The RPN shares his/her knowledge and expertise with others and contributes to the advancement of nursing practice excellence. The RPN continually enhances his/her practice and competencies through ongoing learning, education, experience and reflective practice.
