We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a commitment to providing high-quality nursing services. As an RPN, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients in various settings, including long-term care, assisted living, and acute care environments. Your expertise will contribute to the well-being of our patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to evaluate patient conditions.
Provide direct patient care, including IV infusion, catheterization, and tube feeding.
Assist with diagnostic evaluations and perform basic life support as needed.
Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility assistance.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
Requirements
Valid Registered Practical Nurse license in the state of practice.
Experience in acute care, long-term care, or home care settings preferred.
Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth is advantageous.
Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), and medication administration protocols.
Critical care experience or familiarity with ICU/PICU settings is a plus.
Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia-related conditions.
Strong assessment skills and the ability to perform physical examinations.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
