RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides comprehensive, quality patient and family centered care to meet the identified care needs of patients of varying complexity but with predictable outcomes and manageable responses.
Has the knowledge, skill and judgment needed to provide safe, evidence-based nursing practice within his/her level of competency and comply with the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards, QCH Policies and Procedures, as well as the standards of care appropriate to his/her area of clinical practice.

REQUIREMENTS:
Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
RPN diploma
Current BCLS
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Ability to understand, interpret and carry out verbal and written instructions in the English language
Ability to work effectively within the nursing and inter-professional team
Demonstrated computer competency
PREFER
RED:
One year of recent experience in an acute care setting
Geriatric Resource Nurse Designation
Gentle Persuasive Approach Training
Experience with clinical documentation in an Electronic Health Record
Membership in RPNAO and associations related to nursing specialty
Experience as preceptor
