We are seeking a Registered Physiotherapist to join the Chronic Pain Management Program (CPMP) at Kilala Lelum Health Centre for a 10-12 month temporary contract. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual passionate about innovation and striving for excellence as we work toward our shared goal of decolonizing healthcare and promoting health and wellness equity in the Downtown Eastside (DTES).
The CPMP is a program that aims to provide effective and culturally-safe chronic pain therapy to people living with concurrent disorders (substance use disorders and/or complex mental health comorbidities).
The Physiotherapist (0.6 FTE) will work in an environment dedicated to Indigenous health and wellness alongside and in collaboration with the CPMP team, including a primary care physician, kinesiologist, Elder and medical office assistant. This role may also work closely with broader staff at Kilala Lelum such as counsellors, social workers, outreach workers, nurses and cultural wellness workers.
We are seeking an individual interested in grounding their practice in Kilala Lelum's core values: the promotion of equity & wellness, respect, kindness, and Indigenous cultures and knowledge.
