We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing physiotherapy programs tailored to the needs of patients across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and home health environments. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to develop effective care plans that promote recovery and enhance patient well-being.
Duties
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their physical condition and rehabilitation needs.
Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings, incorporating evidence-based practices.
Implement physiotherapy interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and exercise programs.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care in acute care settings.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment options, home exercises, and self-management strategies.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes using EMR systems.
Participate in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions from inpatient or outpatient settings to home or community care.
Stay current with advancements in physiotherapy practices and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the organization.
Skills
Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to physiotherapy practice.
Proficiency in medical terminology related to patient care and treatment procedures.
Experience in various physiotherapy settings including pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, acute care, outpatient clinics, and home health environments.
Familiarity with discharge planning processes and the ability to develop comprehensive care plans for diverse patient populations.
Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds while demonstrating empathy and compassion.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
