Registered Pharmacy Technician

Job Description
Daily tasks and responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
Providing punctual, professional, and courteous client service
Answering telephone inquiries
Receiving, processing, and filling prescriptions in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy
. Managing incoming faxes
Maintaining pharmacy stock, preparing and submitting orders
Handling OTC inquiries in consultation with pharmacist as required
Handling prescription pick up
Assisting with cashier responsibilities as needed
Working in a team-oriented friendly environment with Pharmacist and co-workers
Qualifications:
To qualify Candidates must...
.be registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
. have a diploma from a Pharmacy Technician College
. have a minimum of 1 year experience as a registered pharmacy technician working in a community pharmacy in CANADA
be proficient at data entry (fillware knowledge is highly important)
have keen attention to details with strong ability to work under pressure
have excellent organizational & time management skills
have excellent verbal & written communication skills
be able to work independently & with minimum supervision
demonstrate ability to assist clients with compassion, courtesy & respect while maintaining confidentiality & privacy
have good computer skills, knowledge of Fillware software would be considered an asset
Have strong motivation to succeed & ability to work calmly & efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment
have flexible schedule
