About the Opportunity
In conjunction with the Pharmacy Operations Manager, the Pyxis Support Pharmacy Practice Assistant is responsible for the management of the pharmacy automated dispensing cabinet system (Pyxisxc2xae). The Pyxis Support Pharmacy Practice Assistant is responsible for monitoring the system to ensure the overall safe and effective use by nursing and pharmacy. They are also the main point of contact for both nursing and pharmacy and are responsible for answering questions and trouble-shooting problems and issues concerning the Pyxis system. In collaboration with the Pyxis Application Specialists and engineers and the Pharmacy Information Systems team, they are responsible for the processing of new equipment installations, implementing software and hardware upgrades and addressing technical concerns. The Pyxis Support Pharmacy Practice Assistant is highly trained to provide safe and effective quality pharmaceutical service throughout Central Zone in accordance with policy and procedures and is competent in solving hardware and software issues related to the Pyxis system.
