About the Role:

Under the direct supervision of a MediSystem Pharmacist, the Registered Pharmacy Technician will perform a variety of tasks related to the high-volume distribution of prescribed drugs to various long-term care sites.

Key Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 Confirm and check pharmaceutical products prepared to ensure accuracy and completeness of all prescription orders prior to delivery

\xc2\xb7 Check multi-dose medication strips for accuracy

\xc2\xb7 Keep current with and apply knowledge of legal requirements, professional standards, and where provided, workplace policies and procedures

Qualifications:

\xc2\xb7 Licensed and registered with the College of Pharmacists as Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT), in good standing

\xc2\xb7 Liability insurance to legally practice as a RPhT

\xc2\xb7 A minimum of 1 year of continuous working experience in a pharmacy environment (Long Term Care, Hospital, or Retail)

\xc2\xb7 Experience with high volume filling environments is an asset

\xc2\xb7 Effective written and verbal communication skills

\xc2\xb7 Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

\xc2\xb7 Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills

\xc2\xb7 Attention to detail

\xc2\xb7 Complete work with minimum supervision

\xc2\xb7 Team player and Leadership skills

\xc2\xb7 Hospital pharmacy experience or Long Term Care pharmacy background is an asset
