Title: Registered Pharmacy Technician
Location: Markham, ON, L3R 3W6
Shift: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (must be available to work an 8-hour shift within these hours)
Compensation:
Annual salary: $54,000 - $67,000
Benefits package: after 3 months
Vacation: 2 weeks
Sick days: 6
Personal days: 2

Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the pharmacist in maintaining compliance with federal, provincial, and local laws, accrediting body standards, and organizational policies and procedures.
Enter prescriptions into Kroll software and process billing.
Schedule patients for repeat medications.
Maintain pharmacy records, ensuring accurate filing and documentation.
Prepare compounding sheets and assist in the compounding of medications.
Program infusion pumps and prepare other devices for medication delivery.
Assist in the preparation and labeling of medications as permitted by law.
Receive and transcribe verbal prescriptions from prescribers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Package and dispense medications following pharmacist verification, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
Perform final checks of compounded sterile products and prescriptions prior to release.
Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and accuracy before shipping.
Maintain inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and rotate stock to manage expiry dates.
Follow procurement procedures and manage drug and supply inventory.
Report adverse events in accordance with policies and procedures.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including patient support programs, clinics, nursing staff, and scheduling teams.
Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Participate in quality assurance activities, performance improvement initiatives, and staff meetings.
Qualifications
Pharmacy Technician Certificate/Diploma from an accredited institution.
Licensed and in good standing with the Provincial College of Pharmacists.
Experience in a busy community or specialty pharmacy setting preferred.
Strong organizational and computer skills (including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets).
Experience with Kroll software required.
High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills (phone, email, and in person).
Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently.
