Join our team, and help recognize a healthy future for your career and for all Canadians.Why this role is important?We are hiring an Registered Pharmacy Technician, Central Pharmacy Services CPAK for the overnight shift.The hours are Sunday- Thursday 10PM-6AM with requirements to work some weekends and statutory holidays.Location: 1685 Tech Avenue, Mississauga, OntarioWhat you'll do:Responsible for ensuring accuracy of prepared medication by checking each prescription and ensuring legal compliance and product quality. This includes weekly strip packaged medications, compliance packages and all non-packaged productsResponsible for ensuring appropriate corrections are completed when identifiedAccurately count and reconcile Narcotic and Controlled medicationsResponsible for checking products in an organized and efficient manner to maintain workflow and ensure delivery routes leave at their scheduled timesPatient privacy and confidentiality is protected in accordance with regulationsKeep current with and align with legal requirements, professional standards, and where provided, workplace policies and proceduresCommitment to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belongingWhat you bring:Licensed and registered with the College of Pharmacists as Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT), in good standingLiability insurance to legally practice as a RPhTA minimum of 1 year of continuous working experience in a pharmacy environment (Long Term Care, Hospital, or Retail)Experience with high volume filling environments is preferredExperience working with PacMed or PacVision is an assetEffective written and verbal communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent organizational and multitasking skillsAttention to detailComplete work with minimal supervisionTeammate and Leadership skillsBilingual (English/French) is an assetWhy work at Shoppers Drug Mart?Acting as consultants, supporting internal customers and the Associate-Owners, you will get experience unique to the retail industry while working for an award-winning national brand.
