Registered Pharmacy Technician

Job Description
As a registered tech we expect the individual to perform both pharmacy assistant and registered tech duties as written below:
Processing prescriptions for legality and accuracy
Filling Prescriptions - retrieve the correct drug, count the quantity, document on hardcopy
Answer phones
Ensuring the Pharmacy is kept clean
Make and bill Blister Packs
Contacting drug plans for patient coverage
Manage Inventory of Pharmacy - Make sure products get ordered, put order away when they arrive, check expiry of products
Ability to multi-task
Assist Pharmacist in methadone dispensing
Giving Injections (Flu shots, travel vaccines)
Signing off on blister packs
Signing off on prescriptions
Taking verbal prescriptions from doctors
Compounding experience is an asset
Job requirements
-Must be a Registered Technician in Ontario
-prior experience not required but preferred
-Excellent customer service skills
-experience with Fillware is not required but preferred
Salary:
Starting at $28/hr. Rate based on experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $21.00-$35.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
