Pharmacy Technician

Penny+Fausta Pharmacy @ West 19th St NW

Part Time Position (7-14 hrs including a weekend shift)

Competitive compensation package (discussed at interview)

Pharmacy hours 9-7 M-F, 10-5 S/S , 10-5 holidays

Penny+Fausta Pharmacy is a pharmacy with a strategic vision to provide patient-centric care and to collaborate with physicians and other health care providers. We are focused on engaging patients to realize positive health and lifestyle strategies to improve health outcomes and support them in achieving their health care goals.

We are a community pharmacy providing a full scope of professional and prescription services within the central neighborhood of West Hillhurst. We are looking for staff passionate about their work and the profession like we are. Someone entrepreneurial, eager to learn new skills, take on new and exciting projects and work to their full scope of practice. We have extensive experience in collaborative care models and want to foster this in our pharmacy and the community.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

Dispensing activities

Working to full scope of practice for Registered Technicians in Alberta

Collaboration with primary care physicians and other health care providers

Health promotion activities

Patient education including specific device training activities

Provide leadership in the pharmacy and community

Thorough knowledge of ACP Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics

Qualifications:

Completion of a CCAPP -accredited pharmacy technician training program or equivalent

Registered with ACP on the Pharmacy Technician Register

Practice to the full scope of practice for Alberta Pharmacy Technicians

Kroll experience is REQUIRED

Strong motivational interviewing skills

Superior written and verbal communication skills
