Canadian Health Labs (CHL) is looking for Emergency Department Registered Nurses for travel assignments throughout Nunavut, providing health services in a hospital setting\xe2\x80\x99s emergency rooms. The Registered Nurse monitors and delivers nursing care to clients as directed by the nursing care plan and in accordance with all required internal and external professional practice standards.

This is a TRAVEL NURSING role. Applicants must be willing to be deployed in Newfoundland for 30 days or more. We offer flexible agreement lengths, with long-term deployment incentives available. All travel, accommodation and provincial nursing licensure costs are 100% covered by CHL.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

  • Diploma/Degree (RN) and proof of good standing with the governing body of your province.
  • As an ED Registered Nurse, we require two (2) years in an Emergency Department.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of patient and family-centred care.
  • Proficient clinical skills in assessment, physical examination, and nursing intervention.
  • Ability to establish relationships based on mutual respect and trust.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and recognize when consultation is needed.
  • Microsoft Windows-based programs competency.
  • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population.
CERTIFICATIONS
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support(PALS)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS)
Provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination as per provincial Covid-19 Immunization and Management Policy.
Criminal records and vulnerable sector checks will be required.
