ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our dynamic interprofessional rehabilitation team delivering high-intensity, time-limited care to clients with musculoskeletal conditions (e.g., hip/knee replacements, hip fractures, amputations) and/or spinal cord injuries. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Physicians, Occupational/Physiotherapists, Nurses, Social Workers, Dietitians, Speech Language Pathologists, and Spiritual Care Associates, with access to Psychologist referrals as needed.



The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing clients, developing a plan of care, implementing treatments, and evaluating the outcomes, in consultation with the client and/or other health professionals, in accordance with the Standards of Practice for the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). The RN works as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Staff will be oriented to both 3 North and 3 South and will be scheduled to work on either unit based on operational needs.

WHAT YOU BRING

Education/Experience:


Certificate of Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses (CNO) Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)




Skills/Abilities:


Leadership experience preferred Excellent physical assessment skills Recent experience in the administration of medications Ability to work independently and as part of a team Demonstrates strong communication skills, including clear and compassionate verbal, written, and interpersonal abilities essential for professional collaboration Evidence of continuing professional development experience + Demonstrated flexibility to work on both 3N and 3S according to scheduling needs. Demonstrated regular attendance at work




Asset:


Rehabilitation nursing experience working with clients with musculoskeletal disorders an asset Completion of Stroke Education modules and Care of the Neurological Client modules an asset
