ABOUT THE ROLE

The Registered Nurse plays a key role in supporting clients residing at St. Joseph's Care Group through the Home for Good Provincial Housing Initiative on Dawson Road. Guided by compassion and respect, the RN works closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide ongoing clinical care and meaningful support to individuals facing challenges related to mental health, addictions, and homelessness. This role helps create a safe, inclusive environment where clients can focus on recovery, stability, and wellness.

WHAT YOU BRING

Education/Experience:


Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) Demonstrated experience working in concurrent disorders treatment within a multidisciplinary team environment Strong knowledge of concurrent disorders and related evidence-based treatment approaches Experience providing care and support to marginalized populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness Proven skills in mental health assessment, treatment and rehabilitation, crisis intervention, advocacy, and psychosocial rehabilitation principles Training and applied experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)





Skills/Abilities:


Excellent verbal, non-verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Training in Suboxone and Methadone delivery Experience supporting clients in withdrawal management Overdose prevention and de-escalation training Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with Registered Nurses and members of an interprofessional team Capacity to work independently and as an active, contributing team member to achieve program goals Strong knowledge of community addiction and mental health resources and partnership networks Advanced critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Proven ability to prioritize and organize workload effectively and accurately Demonstrated regular attendance at work





Conditions of Employment:


This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory

Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)

where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
